We've worked with these guys on several pool forming and excavation projects. They're on time, work hard, and do great work. Would recommend to other builders!

Meridian grew from farm ground into one of the biggest cities in Idaho, and the dirt work shows it. Subdivisions now cover land that was pasture and row crops not long ago, with new homes going up and older ones getting pools, shops and bigger driveways. We dig and grade across the city, from Eagle Road out past Ten Mile and Locust Grove.
A lot of Meridian sits on land that was once irrigated field. That leaves old ditches, buried irrigation pipe and tile lines that were never drawn on a plan. We probe before we dig and ask neighbors and builders what they know. Ground that has been farmed for decades can also have soft spots and uneven fill, so site excavation and soil compaction matter before anything gets poured.
Crossing or working near a canal or lateral usually means getting the irrigation district's okay first, and we plan around ditch schedules so a trench isn't open when the water comes on. If a ditch needs to pass under a new driveway, our culvert installation page explains how we set one.
Dig down a foot or two in much of Meridian and you can hit caliche, a hard layer of cemented soil. It can look like regular dirt on the surface and dig like concrete underneath. Some caliche breaks up with the right tooth on the bucket. Some needs a breaker. Either way it affects the schedule and the price, which is why we look at the lot before giving a number. See rock excavation for more on how we handle it.
Caliche also makes poor fill under a slab. Sometimes the better answer is to haul it off and bring in granular fill, which we cover on our soil compaction page.
HOAs are common in Meridian, and many want to approve grade changes, pools, berms and sometimes the tree work that comes first. They often set work hours and rules for truck traffic. We ask about your HOA early, and we're used to working inside those rules and keeping mud off the street.
Lots in newer subdivisions are also tight. A pool, a shop or an RV pad often means working with a narrow side yard and a gate that barely fits a machine. On a lot like that, site grading for construction has to send water down a shallow swale between houses without pushing it onto the neighbor. We set grade so that path is clear and stays clear after fences and landscaping go in.
Meridian homeowners dig a lot of pools, and we've worked here on a project that combined grading and pool excavation on one lot. Our swimming pool excavation work follows your pool builder's plan, with the dirt hauled off or graded on site. We also handle French drain installation, excavation for driveways and pond excavation for backyard water features.
Meridian runs its own water and sewer system, so most homes inside city limits connect to city service. New connections and repairs mean sewer line excavation and water line excavation, and the work in the street or right-of-way follows city and highway district rules.
Out on the edges of Meridian, some larger lots still use septic. Septic permits in Ada County go through Central District Health, and our septic system installation page walks through the steps.
