We've worked with these guys on several pool forming and excavation projects. They're on time, work hard, and do great work. Would recommend to other builders!

Eagle sits between the Boise River and the foothills, and the ground changes a lot within a few miles. Lots are bigger than in most of the valley, many homes are custom, and backyard pools are everywhere. That mix makes for interesting dirt work. We've dug pools here and put two of those jobs in our portfolio.
Pools are the dig we're asked about most in Eagle. Large yards give a pool room to be a real feature, with a deep end, a shelf, sometimes a spa and a patio around it. Our swimming pool excavation crew cuts to the plan from your pool builder, keeps the walls and bottom where the plans say they should be, and either hauls the dirt off or spreads and grades it on site.
You can see the results on this Eagle pool excavation and this pool dig. If you're pricing a pool, our guide to what affects the cost of pool excavation covers access, soil, rock, groundwater and hauling.
Closer to the Boise River, Eagle's ground is sand, gravel and round river cobble. That ground drains well, but cobble slows the dig and trench walls can cave in because the rock doesn't hold together. During irrigation season the water table also comes up, and groundwater can seep into a foundation or pool hole on its own. We time the dig so the form crew follows close behind, keep pumps ready and shape the pit walls to stay safe in loose material.
Where the soil is clean, fill compacts well. We use soil compaction and backfilling in lifts so patios, driveways and pool decks don't settle.
North of town, the ground starts to rise. Sloped lots take more planning. We cut pads, build retaining walls, grade for water to move away from the house and add erosion control so a spring storm doesn't wash out new work. Steep backyards can be stepped into terraces with landscape contouring so you get usable space instead of a hill.
Rock can show up on the foothill side too. If a bid depends on what's under the surface, we'll say so up front. Our rock excavation page explains the options.
Many Eagle neighborhoods have HOAs that want to approve grade changes, berms, pools and sometimes tree removal before work starts. Berms are popular here, especially on lots that back up to Eagle Road or State Street where evergreens are planted to block noise and headlights. We ask about HOA rules at the start, keep trucks and mud under control and keep you posted on schedule.
Larger lots also bring larger projects: a shop pad, a long driveway, a horse arena, a pond or a second building. We handle excavation for driveways, pond excavation, land clearing and site preparation and grading for those projects.
Many Eagle properties are on city sewer and water, but larger lots on the edge of town may be on septic and a well. Septic permits in Ada County go through Central District Health. Septic system installation and utility excavation are part of what we do. Our guide on Idaho Digline and 811 explains who marks what before the first bucket goes in.
